i did have a bit of trouble getting hold of them but after 7-8 days which they told me my a700 turned up and i am happy with it and so long as you dont mind waiting and of course it was £100 cheaper than the next retailer i would recomend these. | | Do you recommend this retailer? | Yes |

It is quite simply a con operation. All these positive reviews seem to have written suspiciously close together in response to the negative reviews. I ordered a £450 camera from their website. The money was taken from my account instantly, however they took two weeks to process the order before they told me that the shipment had been damaged and would take even longer. I, of course, cancelled the order. Having cancelled the order they then emailed me 2 weeks later to ask if I still wanted to cancel the order. I did. I then have had to wait another 4 weeks to see if they would actually refund the order. They didn't. I am now having to resort to legal action to recover the money. Reading the other two reviews I thought they must have been written by Tekmo themselves too. We have been totally ripped off by Tekmo for nearly £800. I checked reviews before ordering from them, all good. Rang and was given info needed, ie item in stock I would be delivered that working week. Now the phone number just has an answer phone......and calls are never returned unless you pretend you are ordering something else and you use a different phone number. Initial email confirming order , then sorry there will be delayed delivery.......... this has gone on since the new year.
We asked for our money back and never got it. Legal action against them is now being taken.
Don't buy anything from them, you will never get the goods or your money back directly from them or any answers. Tekmo reflects badly on other companies that I have purchased items from using price comparison websites | | Do you recommend this retailer? | No |

Their prices are tempting but do not be fooled. I have ordered Sony A-700 from Tekmo. Because I leave outside UK, and their system does not complain if you put foreign address, I was happy to see that the order was placed and I have received confirmation e-mail. Everything looked OK. Even the tax was deducted and the only suspecious detail was that the delivery cost was £0,-. It was hard to believe that they would shipp the camera for free abroad so I called them. After talking to supervisor I guess, we agreed that there should be a fee and they would charge my credit card. I gave the details on the phone and surprisingly the card was charged imediately. Seems they are very quick on that. What they are not quick at all is shipping ordered items. At the beginning they informed me that they need several days to prepare the shipment. Then they told me that the camera that was supposed to be sent to me was by mistake sent to somebody else and they would ship another one as soon as they had it in stock (they gave the exact date). At the mentioned day I asked by e-mail if the camera would be shipped and here is their reply:
"Please note that we would hope that we have caught up today of delay
and will confirm via email once shipped .

Extremely peculiar. I waited another day and sent another e-mail, this time without any reply. I tried to call them, and there was answering machine. Tried severel times for the next several days, the result was the same. It has been 21 days now since I place the unfortunate order and I still do not know if I will ever get ordered camera or the money back. I tried to cancell the order but that does not make any impression on them. To check if the is no disaster in thir office or if they hevent gone for vacation I sent them a general question as somebody else. Guess what: they replied imediately...
