Do you still accept traditional paper Gift Vouchers in payment in your stores?
Yes. Our paper Gift Vouchers have no expiry date and we will continue to accept them in payment as per their terms and conditions. Any change due from a purchase made with Gift Vouchers will be given on a Gift Card.
Where can I buy Gift Cards?
Gift Cards can be purchased at any M&S store or from our website. They are available for values from £1-£500.
Where can I spend my Gift Card?
Gift Cards can be redeemed in all M&S stores in the UK, Eire and the Channel Islands. This includes Outlet, railway, motorway and airport stores. M&S Gift Cards cannot be used as payment for M&S product in BP stores. Gift Card cannot be accepted for transactions over the telephone.
Can I use a Gift Card purchased in another country in your UK stores?
Gift Cards purchased in Eire and the Channel Islands can be used in the UK. Where necessary, our till system will convert Euro and Sterling Gift Card balances using the appropriate exchange rate.
Can a Gift Card be used more than once?
Yes. All we ask is that the Gift Card is used at least once every two years. Cards will expire 24 months after their last use. If you do not wish to re-use a fully redeemed Gift Card, it will be retained by the store and recycled.
Can I consolidate the value of paper Gift Vouchers onto one Gift Card?
Yes. Just take your Gift Vouchers and/or Gift Cards into any UK store and we will be happy to help you.
How will I know the value loaded onto a Gift Card?
When you buy a Gift Card in our stores, we will print you a special receipt to insert into the presentation card showing the value loaded to the card. If you buy your Gift Card online, the value will be printed in the presentation card, behind the Gift Card. If you forget the value loaded to a Gift Card, you can check the balance at any of our stores. You can also call 0845 604 5 604 (in the UK and Channel Islands) or 1890 719380 (in Eire).
What instructions come with the Gift Card?
Information is provided on the reverse of the Gift Card and on the back of the presentation card.
Are Gift Cards refundable?
No. As with our traditional Gift Vouchers, the M&S Gift Card is not refundable.
Can I order Gift Cards in bulk via your Corporate Ordering service?
No. Corporate Orders will continue to be fulfilled with Gift Vouchers until further notice.
Can I spend my Gift Card (or check its balance) online?
No. Currently we are unable to accept Gift Card as payment for online purchases.
Are Gift Cards accepted as payment on your self-checkout tills in your stores?
Yes. Our self-checkout tills will accept Gift Cards as a payment method. You will also be able to top up your Gift Card to set values.
Can I use my Gift Card to pay off my &MORE card balance?
No. Gift Cards cannot be used to pay for any M&S Money services, products or outstanding card balances.

Are your Gift Cards environmentally friendly?
M&S Gift Cards are manufactured from PETG, a recyclable plastic. The presentation cards are made from card sourced from well-managed forests, controlled sources and recycled wood or fibre.
